Chicken Spaghetti

Ingredients:

For the Spaghetti sauce

  • Onions – 2 medium sized, finely chopped
  • Green chillies – 4-5 finely chopped
  • Garlic – 1 whole pod, finely chopped
  • Minced chicken – 400 gms
  • Tomatoes – 5 -6 pureed
  • Pesto sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch
  • Dried Thyme – 1 teaspoon
  • Dried Basil – 1 teaspoon
  • Cheddar cheese – shredded 150 gms
  • Olive oil – 1 teaspoon
  • Pepper – 3 teaspoon
  • Chilly flakes – 2 teaspoon
  • Cream – 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

For the Spaghetti

  • Spaghetti – 300 gms
  • Salt to taste


Method:

Spaghetti:

  1. Heat water in a bowl and allow it to boil. Add salt.
  2. Add the spaghetti and allow it to cook till al dente.
  3. Remove from flame and drain out the hot water and pour in some cold water and allow it to stay in it for 10-15mins
  4. Drain out the water.

Spaghetti Sauce:

  1. In a pan heat olive oil.
  2. Add the finely chopped garlic and sauté it.
  3. Add the chopped chillies and onions and allow it to cook.
  4. Add the minced chicken, pepper and salt and allow it to cook on low flame for some time.
  5. Add the tomato puree and allow it to cook by covering a lid.
  6. Once the tomatoes are cooked add the thyme, basil, chilly flakes and pesto sauce.
  7. Add the cream and get the sauce to a boil.
  8. Add the spaghetti to the sauce and mix it thoroughly.
  9. Add the shredded cheese and cook for 5 – 10 minutes.
  10. Garnish it with cheese and serve hot chicken spaghetti.
